Why I love my Honda and Shell

I changed my car from a Proton Waja to Honda City iDsi early this year. It's all related to maintenance and oil usage.

Previously with my Waja, the maintenance is high (about 400+ for major service and 100++ for minor service), the damage is somewhat default (window, absorber, air-cond, etc) with other waja cars and the oil consumption is crazy! (can go betw 10-12 km per litre only) The last straw was when my car aircond kaput and the CD player koyak.

That weekend I straight away went to Honda Dealer to check out the City (after I heard the first 40K km is TOTAL free service). After discussing and the salesman mentioned that she could give me a better trade-in value for my Waja... I immediately book for my Honda the next day.

So far my I'm happy with my Honda. The oil consumption is very low. It's about 16 km/litre. For a full tank of 39 litres, it could go up to 700 km!! It's a vast difference with my Waja that could only go 550 kms for 45 litre of oil! Talk about murder on the highway!! I can't comment on the maintenance rate yet as now I'm on free maintenance... So I will update when there is service charge.. Probably another year!!

Ooo and I L.O.V.E. Shell oil. I think the 'more mileage' claim really works.

Anyways I dont think I will go for a Proton car again... Perodua is OK but not Proton.

The weather....

When there is a storm, with black clouds and thunder going around, you have no choice but to accept it. Either we can avoid it by running under a shade, or we can go ahead and hit the storm, or we can go someplace else where there's no storm at all.
I've been under the shade for too long. For the next storm coming, I will go ahead and hit it, fight it, embrace it..... and then go to a no-storm place.
Let's see.

Huh! What raise?

Hey check this out.... Early this week we got an official email from the CEO saying that there will be a salary raise between 2-4% due to harga barang naik (u know oil, ayam, necessities, etc.) But in the same week we got an email informing us that our new office location which we'll be moving in 2 months has no parking allotment (The current office parking is free). And we have to pay RM120 p/mth to have the season parking.
Heh.. So I did a calculation and here's the result:-
For 2% raise - Does not cover the parking charges. Even barely covers the uncovered parking which is rm90 p/m.
For 3% raise - "Just about" covers the parking cost.
For 4% raise - Covers the parking cost and the extra can cover for a lunch and dinner at KFC for one person.
SO i considered my other options:-
1. Take public transport
-That would mean a bus, and Komuter from my place. And have to give 1.5 hours travelling time. Which means I will reach home at 8pm and cook Maggi for dinner. Or buy burger downstairs.
2. Leave car at Komuter station, and proceed w Komuter.
- Not taking that option as the komuter station has potential of flooding
3. Drive to office, and pay season parking.
- Saves time, but more money on oil and parking..
Since I'm such a lazybum and have to pick up my daughter on time from nursery... I will go for option 3. So the raise will only be felt for 2 months... And that will cover for the deposit of the parking lot. :oP

I totally forgot i had this blog site!!!

I knew I had a blog site previously.. but didn't remember its address. I found it back!!
